Porcelain Laminate Veneers

Perfect teeth and beautiful smiles. Unfortunately, some of us were not born with these things. This is where veneers by Dr. Aldo Leopardi of DenteVita Prosthodontics can really make a difference. Porcelain veneers are cosmetic dentistry tools and are perfect for patients who want to eliminate what they see as flaws in their smile.

A veneer is a thin shell of a high-grade ceramic that is attached to the front surface of teeth. They can make an immediate visual difference.  The ceramic veneer resembles natural dental enamel which is individually crafted for each patient.  We carefully match colors and use the veneer to hide chips, cracks, and gaps between the teeth. Veneers can also be used to alter the size and shape of a tooth. They are difficult to stain and can potentially last 10 to 15 years.

The best candidates for veneers are patients who have healthy teeth and gums. Patients with tooth decay and gum disease usually qualify for this treatment only after these issues have been addressed and successfully treated. Patients interested in veneers in Greenwood Village, Colorado can call our office to schedule a consultation.

Porcelain Veneers vs. Bonding

Veneers are thin pieces of porcelain that are glued, rather than bonded, to the front teeth. Bonding uses a composite resin that is applied directly, shaped and polished to fill gaps, chips or broken teeth. Porcelain veneers are custom made in our lab and are much like your original teeth. Veneers are harder than the composite resins used in bonding and more resistant to stains.

To help make your decision of veneers vs. dental bonding, please call our office at 720-488-7677 to schedule a consultation with Dr. Leopardi.  We will review the advantages of each of these cosmetic dental techniques with you in order to determine which treatment is right for you.
